Fully operational and registered with the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), the company is licensed to conduct type 1 (“securities dealing”), type 2 (“investment advisory”) and type 9 (“asset management”) regulated activities.

The company acts as local headquarters for asset management and distribution operations, representing the base for the expansion of Azimut Group across the north Asian region, encompassing China, Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan.

As founder and promoter of the Azimut brand in the North Asia-Pacific region, An Zhong (AZ) Investment Management Hong Kong is a pioneer, market leader, and specialist in offshore RMB (CNH) investments. It advises on over USD 400 million in investments allocated to the asset class through the two different strategies offered by Azimut Group: RMB Opportunities and RMB Opportunities Fixed Income.

AZ Investment Management is also a leader in wealth management for local and international clients with assets in the Asia-Pacific region, thanks to its wide-ranging integrated platform of investment solutions.

In February 2018, AZ Investment Management (Shanghai) the wholly foreign-owned enterprises of Azimut Group has been granted registration as Private Fund Manager (PFM) by the Asset Management Association of China (AMAC) - a self-regulatory organization that represents the mutual fund industry of China. Azimut is the first Italian independent asset manager and the first among the euro-zone based ones to have obtained the license, assigned to a limited and selected number of international asset managers. The license will allow Azimut’s subsidiary to launch, manage and offer onshore investment products to institutional and high net worth investors (HNWIs) in Mainland China.
